Repurposed Picture Frames Part 1 of 3

My newest mantle display features family portraits from summer 2011 taken by a great photographer, Aimee Decker, from Radiant Photography.
I collected these frames from thrift stores and Chad's grandma. Then primed and painted them white for a unified display. I actually prefer this look to more matchy frames, plus the frames that I actually paid for were $1-$2!  That's a savings of $15+ on the large frame alone (figuring in the cost of a can of spray paint)!
Also, the birdies I got on sale at Target around Valentines day for a few dollars.  The skinny candlesticks are from CB2.  If you wait until they have free shipping around Christmastime, the candlesticks themselves aren't bad prices!  They are pretty delicate, so no balloon toss near the mantle please. ;)

Homemade Pasta Sauce

Received a bunch of free tomatoes last week, and made up some simple creamy pasta sauce with lots of basil from my garden.  SO much better than store bought.  I was finally able to find a brand that I like from Costco: Gourmet Pasta Sauces, White Linen Collection by Victoria, All Natural Marinara Sauce.  It has tomatoes imported from Italy. That must be why it's AWESOME. ;)

A Finished Product

Wishing that my phone took better pictures right now...
Here's a necklace I made for myself with some of my favorite fabrics that I've been hording. :)  I'm a little obsessed with these flowers right now.
A good quote heading into my first week homeschooling two kids:
"If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming." ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe~

Newest Project

Been making LOTS of these fabric and felt flowers lately.  Will have some for sale at the Gingerluvs tent at the Westport Truck Show made from Amy Butler, Anna Maria Horner, and Heather Bailey fabrics (plus some).

Examples of the Stuff I Make

Since I'm switching over here from Wordpress, I thought I'd post a bunch of pics of some of the stuff I've made over the last couple years to get everyone up to speed.
I've made about 30 diaper bags mainly for friends and family. I'm kept pretty busy with those mainly through church, so I've never even listed them on my Etsy shop (see right sidebar).
Bibs, burp cloths, and washcloths I've lost count of. I love to use cool designer fabrics to make more beautiful and unusual baby things than you can buy anywhere (although I love Target stuff as much as the next Mom).
I can do special orders on all my products, with your choices of fabrics (some of the fabrics I've used in the past I obviously won't be able to get anymore though- unfortunately!)
